SINGAPORE, SG / ACCESS Newswire / January 30, 2026 / On January 30, Qoder officially launched QoderWork, its first desktop AI Agent designed to execute real work directly on a user's computer. With no complex setup or deployment required, users can issue a single natural-language command and QoderWork will autonomously operate authorized local applications to complete tasks such as file management, data analysis, and document creation.

Over the past year, AI Agents have evolved rapidly, pushing large models beyond conversation and toward task execution. Yet most existing Agent tools still run primarily in the cloud. They reason in chat windows, but struggle to act inside a user's actual working environment. This gap has limited their usefulness for day-to-day productivity. QoderWork is built on a different assumption: if AI is meant to work for people, it needs to live where the work happens-on the desktop.

QoderWork integrates leading global AI models and is built on a lightweight, execution-oriented Agent framework. It can understand high-level intent, decompose complex instructions into concrete steps, and carry out those steps locally while reporting progress in real time.

Instead of routing tasks through remote servers, QoderWork executes directly on the user's device, accessing local files and applications without repeated uploads or downloads. When ambiguity appears, the system pauses and asks for confirmation, keeping humans in control of every critical action.

The product ships with built-in support for mainstream MCP tools and allows users to define custom Skills, enabling highly personalized workflows. A single prompt can trigger multi-step processes that would normally require switching between multiple applications.

For example, a user can ask QoderWork to analyze a local Excel sales file, identify top-performing products and declining regions, generate visual charts, and produce a structured report and presentation-all in one pass. What once took hours of manual work can now be completed in minutes.

Beyond structured data, QoderWork can also process unstructured inputs such as interview recordings. It can extract key points from audio, reorganize them into video scripts, long-form articles, social posts, and subtitle files, compressing hours of editing and rewriting into a short automated workflow.

"Our goal is to move AI out of the chatbox and into the real working environment," said Ding Yu, head of Qoder. "The desktop is where most work actually happens. By allowing people to control AI with natural language and have it execute locally, we want to make AI a true productivity multiplier, not just a conversational tool."

With QoderWork, AI stops being something users talk to and starts becoming something that works-directly on your desktop.

Availability

QoderWork is currently available via invite-only access and will open to the public soon.
