Sergio brings more than 25 years of diverse work experience spanning program and portfolio management, business process improvement, strategic planning, and organizational change management. He has worked across private, public, and non-profit sectors in a range of industries, giving him a robust understanding of the unique demands on today’s business leaders.

“Businesses are facing increased pressure to more effectively support the mental health needs of employees, and company leaders are called upon to drive these initiatives. But the very people charged with implementing workplace wellbeing programs are too often left out of those services, despite a culture shift demanding mental health support for all—leaders included,” said Jim Mortensen, president of R3 Continuum.

R3 Continuum began offering leadership support solutions more than a decade ago but in 2024 alone, the volume of companies requesting tailored, leader-oriented, support for high-worth individuals increased exponentially. Industries actively expanding proactive mental and performance support services for leaders tend to be high stress sectors including legal, healthcare, accounting and business consulting, and high tech.

Bonadona will oversee the team dedicated to leadership support solutions designed to deliver the mental wellness and performance coaching resources that leaders need to handle the demands of their day-to-day role.

“I am eager to take on this role and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the talented team at R3,” said Bonadona. “Throughout my career, I’ve seen first-hand that leaders balance an overwhelming number of responsibilities, both at work and at home. They are tasked with achieving demanding business objectives, balancing their personal lives, and addressing the very real mental health and performance needs of their employees. I’m excited to help reduce this pressure and position leaders to thrive in today’s competitive business environment.”

As part of his role, Bonadona will help customers leverage R3 support services and expand company offerings aimed at leaders. These services include leader mental wellness counseling, leader performance coaching, and leader workshops and action groups, each tailored to meet the leader’s individual and group needs.

Bonadona holds a master’s degree in international business and a bachelor’s in commerce along with several industry recognized certifications in project management, process improvement, and change management.
