Parfum Muse Shortlisted for Best Online Retailer in The Fragrance Foundation UK Awards 2024 for Third Consecutive Year

British luxe online perfume stockist, Parfum Muse, which provides the comfort and attention to detail of an in-store retail experience, has been shortlisted for the third time in a row in the Best Online Retailer category, presented at the prestigious ceremony hosted by The Fragrance Foundation Awards.

Parfum Muse offers curated collections of the finest perfume brands, from exclusive French artisanal and handcrafted scents to sustainable, eco-friendly modern perfumes and home fragrances. The company was selected as a finalist amid steep competition in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Celebrating Excellence in Scent at The Fragrance Foundation Awards

Being picked as a finalist at one of the biggest and most coveted awards within the perfume industry is itself a significant achievement and accolade, with The Fragrance Foundation Awards often referred to as the ‘Oscars’ of the scent and fragrance world.

Taking place at The Brewery, a historic Grade II-listed 18th-century event space in the City of London, the annual occasion is attended by over 550 guests, including invited speakers, judging panels, and presenters, alongside celebrities, public figures, and respected perfume innovators.

Alongside the awards, with categories such as Media Campaign of the Year, Consumers Choice Awards and Innovation, the Best Online Retailer is hand-picked by the panel, which chooses both finalists and the eventual winners based on criteria such as:

  • Mystery shopping experiences
  • The ease of website navigation
  • User experiences using the retailer’s site
  • Fragrance Foundation member voting

Retailers must evidence how they have addressed shifts in consumer trends, provide results achieved through digital and physical platforms, and showcase a portfolio of their activities to deliver exceptional shopper experiences.

The Background of The Fragrance Foundation

The Fragrance Foundation was founded in 1949 in New York by Helena Rubinstein, Guerlain, Elizabeth Arden, Chanel, and Coty. Its affiliates, including the UK organisation, are recognised as non-profit authorities within the fragrance sector.

It works to provide education and support for the industry, driving growth and nurturing talent, with 150 member companies originating from across the fragrance and related sectors, including consultants, manufacturers, suppliers, media, marketers and packaging designers.

In collaboration with Oxford Economics, the Foundation has conducted research to quantify the contribution the perfume industry makes to the UK economy. It found that the industry generated £7.1 billion in 2018 alone, supporting 127,000 jobs and contributing £2.1 billion in tax revenues.

The annual awards event is held in May, and as well as the main award categories, the Foundation hosts the Jasmine Awards at the same event, which are journalistic awards given to nominees from the beauty industry who the judges select based on their ability to translate the ‘art of perfumery’ into content, words and imagery.

Nominations are due to open shortly for the subsequent 2025 awards, scheduled to be held on 8th May 2025, with participants having until 12th January to submit their applications or nominations.

Parfum Muse is the new luxe shopping destination for perfume lovers, showcasing some of the UK’s most premium niche and fine fragrances.
